Physical therapy provides services to restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and return to prior level of function with the ultimate goal of returning home, for many.
Physical therapy involves:
- Exercises to improve muscle strength
- Balance activities to reduce the risk of falls
- Ambulation training to regain the ability to walk again
- Wound healing
- Home assessments to make sure the home is safe for the Resident
- Provide a home exercise program to continue, if discharged
The Therapy department at Paris Healthcare Center has the unique opportunity to offer a new program called Accelerated Care Plus or ACP. ACP is a comprehensive therapy program that is designed to assist in pain management, fall prevention, wound healing, and incontinence. ACP uses short wave diathermy, ultra sound, electric stimulation and Neuro-Othro-Cardio Rehab cycling. For more information on ACP or to see if ACP may be benificial for you or a loved one, please contact Linda Mason in our Therapy Department at (217) 465 - 5376.
